Punchy film for BG Group combines visuals & graphics to communicate message

In spite of our latest film for the BG Group being published in seven different languages (Arabic, Mandarin, Kazak, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and English) and covering the company's internal and external activities during the past year, we were able to use exclusively footage already shot for the Group and stored in our library.

Working to a brief for a film that was going to be shown to city analysts all over the world and that required 'a production of a punchy 90 minute corporate video that captures the essence of the BG Group', we produced a video that used strong visuals of the Group going about its business with, as specified, 'emphasis on people doing things safely and shots of BG's operations across each sector.'

BG Group photo - connecting gas to marketsTaking into account the many sectors of the Group (from exploration to petroleum and North Sea rigs) and knowing that the client wanted a film that was also emotive and energetic, we carefully selected a wide variety of footage before pulling it all together and giving it a coherent style.

To create uniformity, the visuals were slightly colour graded and - alongside the especially composed soundtrack - used to communicate the Group's personality and positioning. Next, by using graphics and visuals simultaneously through much of the film, the production imparted the facts of the Group's achievements during the previous 12 months in a manner that was readily accessible to all.
