Corporate social responsibility without good communication practice severely lessens the impact and effectiveness of such important work. To engage stakeholders successfully this work must be communicated effectively and with integrity.
The IVCA Clarion Awards recognise best practice in communicating the importance of CSR, sustainable development, social inclusion and ethical debate. As such they make a unique contribution to both business and society, by identifying the role of the communicator in encouraging an ethical culture, and fostering higher levels of engagement with key social or environmental issues.
Informing employees, stakeholders and external markets of socially responsible behaviour is now seen as essential to the success of a business. The Clarion Awards set extremely high standards of visual communication across formats including: video; live events; interactive media; the internet and printed material.
The Awards jurors look for projects that clearly communicated CSR commitment to employees and stakeholders.
In 2004, Jacaranda won the first ever Clarions Champion Award and in 2005 we won a further Clarion Award for Interactive Media, for "Shared Vision" for Rio Tinto.
