The film is an important part of a 20 year PR campaign supporting the presence of QMM in this 'bio-diversity hot spot,' It documents how Rio Tinto and QMM are engaging with both the local environment and communities in Fort Dauphin to ensure the long-term sustainability of the mine and the communities that it will affect.
The programme will be viewed widely across the world by a wide range of external audiences: NGOs, Governments and Investors all have a major interest in this key project. Internally, it will promote sustainable environmental and community initiatives across the group, by raising the profile of this very challenging best-practice case-study.
Jacaranda are producing the film in multiple languages - to be launched at Rio Tinto's 2006 AGM and made available globally immediately afterwards.
