Designed
to inspire and motivate all employees across the group from call centre
staff to fleet personnel, CRUISE underpins the 'people ethos' that
runs throughout the P&O corporate culture. The scheme is seen as central
to the way in which the company sets the standard for exceptional
customer care - across the entire workforce - not just the 'hotel'
side.
Experience
in producing similar films for companies like O2, Rexam and BP meant
Jacaranda immediately understood the need for an approach that would
capture the enthusiasm and commitment of real P&O people (both senior
management and individual staff on board the ships) working around
the world. The film needed to celebrate their achievements but, also,
in doing so, bring to life the practical reality of what the values
of CRUISE really mean on a day-to-day basis.
With this in mind the team created a set of seven individual stories, each of which represents one of the key CRUISE values, told, in their own words, by members of staff who have been recognised by the monthly incentive scheme. We see and hear from the people involved using a dynamic visual approach, designed to engage a very diverse audience.
Shooting took place in July on board several ships sailing to Cadiz, Palma, Barcelona, Monte Carlo and Livorno. The resulting film has proved a huge success and P&O now intend to extend its use far beyond its original purpose.
Celia Walters from P&O said: "Working with Jacaranda on our latest training film has been a good experience. The research, professionalism and attention to detail of the production team meant they knew what was required without lengthy briefings. They instinctively understood our business and were constructive and enjoyable to work with. The film has far exceeded our expectations and as a result is to be used for a much wider audience than originally intended."
